By integrating engineering with cost management, we help the client get the right services as well as the right price.

Davis Langdon Mott Green Wall is the market leader in its field and was formed by the merger of Mott Green Wall with Davis Langdon in 1999 – when it was clear that major clients repeatedly wanted both firms in their teams. Mott Green and Wall was established in 1972 to specialise in building services quantity surveying from an engineering and contracting background - a strategy that proved to be highly effective.

Engineering cost consultancy is our primary service, but our expertise is also used to meet a wide variety of needs, including utility infrastructure procurement, sustainability and whole life cost analysis, design and performance audits and studies of many kinds to support property investment decision-making.

Because our particular blend of skills is not properly catered for in university courses, we created our own Academy to train school leavers through bespoke 3-4 year courses in London and at the Davis Langdon Academy in the Philippines.  These are fully modularised BSc degree programmes led by our own engineers, quantity surveyors and other specialists.

We operate at the leading edge of knowledge and best practice and are involved in many industry initiatives with the RICS, CIBSE and BSRIA. We edit Spon’s Mechanical and Electrical Price Book and participate in shaping the new utilities market through OFGEM Steering Committees.

In 2003 we formed the Ken Cheshire Society to celebrate the contribution to the industry of one of our partners. Ken, who died in 2002, was a man of quick wit and dry humour, integrity and professionalism. His particular skill was in the cost management of office developments, and the Society now sponsors the Building Services Award for Office of the Year to commemorate his life and work.
